Sam Markewich is a business coach and licensed psychotherapist. In 2013 he transitioned into business coaching and wound down his private psychotherapy practice. Sam is the proud father of a grown son. Sam has extensive training and experience in a variety of issues that affect parents and children, including attachment, trauma, addiction, the neurological effects of chronic poverty, child and adult development, and couples issues. From 2007 – 2015 he was the Clinical Training Coordinator at Family Paths in Oakland California, and from 2003 – 2007 he provided home-based psychotherapy to children and parenting coaching to parents, also through Family Paths.
A strong community and family advocate, Sam decided to join the board of Good Beginnings to use his combined knowledge and experience in family psychology and business coaching to effectively help Good Beginnings achieve its fundraising, outreach, and organizational goals. As a man and father, Sam also seeks to help Good Beginnings reach and help more fathers. He and his life partner, Theresa, live in Montpelier and plan to live out the rest of their lives here.
