In honor of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month, Good Beginnings and our partners at the CVT Perinatal Mental Health Coalition are shining a light on new parents and caregivers in our community.
Help us send a strong message to new parents and caregivers that you are not alone: we see you, and we are here for you.
Now through May 31, you can help strengthen the community of support for all families with new babies with a donation in honor of a special member of your community.
Give in honor of someone’s personal experience with a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder – or give in honor of someone who was there for you on your own journey. You can choose to honor the individual by name or anonymously.
We will display every donation here at the Nest and at the Climb Out of the Darkness in June as a tangible symbol of the power of community to bring families out of isolation and into the light. And as in the past, you may request that Good Beginnings send a card to your honoree notifying them of your gift.
To those caring for a new baby: You are not alone. We see you. We are here for you.
This Mother’s Day, Good Beginnings would like to honor ALL parents and caregivers and speak out on behalf of community support for anyone caring for a new baby.
As we look towards the light at the end of the pandemic’s tunnel, let us not forget those who may still experience isolation. In the days ahead, families with new babies will still face perinatal mental health challenges. They will still need community support in the weeks and months after welcoming a new baby into their lives. The struggles of the past year have reaffirmed for all of us the value of community support. Let us not forget that lesson now. Stand with us against postpartum depression and isolation. Show new parents that they are not alone. Keep families connected to community.
