Car Seat Safety for Toddlers and Young Children

March 30, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 2021

As a child grows, parents, grandparents and other caregivers may be asking themselves about the next car seat stage for the children in their care. If you started with an infant (rear-facing only) seat, is it time for a larger seat? How do you install it? When can a child move from rear-facing to forward-facing?

Join Maureen Johnson, CPST-I, CSP, as she reviews information about the selection, installation and use of car seats for toddlers, preschoolers and early school-aged children. This webinar is for parents, grandparents and other loved ones who may be involved in the safe transport of a child. Maureen is a Child Passenger Safety Specialist at the UVM Medical Center and works with parents and caregivers on car seat safety for children of all ages.

Topics covered include:

  • Choosing a car seat for your toddler or young child
  • Installing your car seat
  • Harnessing and protecting your child in the car

This event is virtual. A link to the meeting and set-up instructions will be provided in an email closer to the event.
