River of Light – Lantern Parade
December 7, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
The River of Light is Waterbury’s Community Lantern Procession. In December 2010, artists Gowri Savoor and Angelo Arnold worked with school art teacher MK Monley and the pupils of Thatcher Brook Primary School in Waterbury, VT to create over 150 willow and tissue paper lanterns for the inaugural event. Visit https://www.ariveroflightinwaterbury.org/ to find out more!
Please show your support from the sidelines or bring your own lanterns and join the parade for an enchanting evening of music, light and community spirit! Join us in Dac Rowe Park after the parade for hot cocoa, pictures with the SD Ireland Christmas light truck and free entertainment!
Parade Start Time: 5:00 PM – sharp
Location: leaving from Thatcher Brook Primary School to Dac Rowe Park
Theme: REinventions! What will you REmake? Something REmarkable!
