Robin’s Nest Nature Playgroup offers parents, caregivers, and children ages 0 – 5, an opportunity to play outside and discover the sights, sounds, and sensations of the forests and fields at the North Branch Nature Center. Guided by the idea that children need to spend ample time outdoors, we offer a community experience in the world of nature and will model ways the natural environment can be used as a tool for learning and play. Engaging with nature’s seasonal offerings stimulates curiosity and a sense of wonder while fostering self-confidence and empathy for all living things. Join us for 2 hours of spontaneous play, exploration, discovery, song, nature inspired crafts, and oral story telling. Come learn about the benefits of nature connection and enjoy the community experience of time immersed in nature with your young ones. NBNC thanks Vermont Community Foundation for making Robin’s Nest possible.*The Robin’s Nest Nature Playgroup is a program that is based entirely outdoors. The NBNC teacher naturalists will discuss with parents and caregivers how to dress for the weather and how we support playing and learning outdoors in all types of weather. Be prepared with water and mud proof clothing!
