Pregnancy and the postpartum months can bring anxiety, exhaustion, and isolation for families.
If you, or someone you know is struggling, there are resources in our community available to help:
- Vermont Department of Health – Support Delivered: Offers resources and information on PMADs, including access to mental health services and educational materials.
- Help Me Grow Vermont is a free, confidential service connecting families to mental health clinicians specializing in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Call 211, option 6 or text: HMGVT to 898211
- Washington County Mental Health Services has a 24/7 helpline: 802-229-0591
- Postpartum Support International: A helpline with resources, information, and support: 1-800-944-4773
- Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice provides in-home visits from nurses
- Empty Arms Vermont offers support to people who have experienced loss during pregnancy or the first year of infancy
- National Maternal Mental Health Hotline: A 24/7 free, confidential hotline offering support before, during, and after pregnancy. Call or Text: 1-833-852-6262 (1-833-TLC-MAMA)
