The Nest

Open for drop-ins: Wednesday – Friday 9 AM – 1 PM

 

Out and about in town with the kids? The Nest is a parent drop-in space open to all. Drop in for playtime or a parent group meeting. Unwind between appointments or errands. Make sure to perk up with a complimentary coffee or tea. And don’t forget to check out resources from our lending library, or try on an infant carrier. The Nest has a great play area for young kids!

Thursday Baby Circle

10am to 12pm

 

Baby Circle is a Mama-hosted, mellow, and cozy meet up for busy parents and their kiddos prenatal to preschool.

All genders are welcome. Join us for coffee, tea, and good company!

The Good Beginnings Lending Library is full of books on all aspects of birth, pregnancy, and postpartum.

Lending Library Guidelines

  • Recommended borrowing period: 2 weeks
  • Treat these books with regard for future readers
  • Recommend and share books you like with others!

Good Beginnings sells Reduced Cost Carriers on a sliding scale to make the purchase of a baby carrier more affordable! Plus income-eligible families who are matched with a Postpartum Angel may also qualify for The Good Beginnings Free Carrier Program, which helps families access high-quality infant carriers. The mission of La Leche League is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

Nursing Beyond a Year

 

Are you nursing beyond a year? Join other moms to discuss the joys and challenges of an older nursling. Discussion topics include nighttime parenting, weaning, setting limits, fertility and more. Share your knowledge and help other mothers help to create a stronger breastfeeding culture!

Babywearers of Central Vermont

 

Babywearers is an educational non-profit that teaches families how to use carriers effectively and safely. The bimonthly meetings are free and open to all. They are a great way to learn about babywearing, connect with others, and support each other as parents and caregivers. Check out a variety of infant carriers and learn how to use them with the helpful knowledge of the group leaders. You can even borrow an available carrier from the lending library!
